The toothpaste guy
The elections are run by the same guys who sell toothpaste.Obama will prove Chomsky wrong. No one speaks more directly or eschews PR speak more forcibly than Obama. Here, for example, is how Obama's economic team is described on the President-elect's website:
Words like "brilliant," "sharp," "energetic," and "visionary" are coming from across the political spectrum in praise for President-elect Barack Obama's choices to lead his economic team.

Silence
They floated his name. No one screamed.
They floated his name again. Silence.
"Are you sure they don't mind?"
"Yes, Mr. President-elect."
"Get Robert Gates on the line. I want to tell him the good news."

That's a lie!
Although [Obama and McCain] clashed during the election campaign over tax policy and withdrawal from Iraq, they have more in common than they have differences. That is not true!
McCain supports the death penalty, is against gay marriage, wants to increase military spending and the number of troops, drill for oil along our coasts, continue the war on drugs, voted to continue the Patriot Act and the Iraq war.
Oh, sorry, I meant those are Obama's positions.
What will he eat?
Most people live on less than $2 a day. Add one more member to that group:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- American International Group Inc. said Tuesday it is limiting how much it pays its top executives, including granting a $1 salary for this year and the same for 2009 to its Chief Executive Edward Liddy. Then in the fourth paragraph:
In addition to his $1 a year salary, Liddy will be getting an unspecified amount of stock.I didn't find anything when I searched the article for "transparency". I must have misspelled it.
